He is also a teaching attending for Family Medicine residents, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Pollack enjoys reading EKGs and reads them regularly for the hospital. He graduated medical school from Virginia Commonwealth University school of Medicine. He then went on to Duke University Hospital for residency in Family Medicine. Course Overview

Welcome to the EKG Course (2.5 CME) 2 hours and 30 minutes

In this course, we will cover all the basics of EKGs and the best approach that you can have to read an EKG comfortably.  We will discuss the definitions of P, QRS, T, U, and Q waves.  We will discuss the difference between the EKG intervals and through the EKG discussions, you will learn what to look for in each.  After going through the basics, we will then go through the most common EKGs that you will face in the hospital on a daily basis.  You will have the chance to go over real-life case scenarios first and the EKGs associated with them.  From there you will practice different EKGs and the treatment for each.
